We're Moving!

Steele got a new job in Houston! This is great because we are close to family and lets face it...Texas is awesome! Jax wasn't born here, but he got here as soon as he could. I'd say 6 weeks is pretty good.

We are just looking for housing now and hopefully we find a place soon!

Baby Jax is Here!!!

Hooray, Jax is here!!

I was really lucky to have an easy delivery. I am a convert to epidurals! Delivery last about 8 hours, and I had the epidural for the last 3 hours. 1 contraction and 3 pushes later here he was!

He was in the NICU with dad for the first 3 hours because he had a tear in his lungs. They said he was fiesty and a fighter, which they like to see in the NICU. He is a strong baby and we love him to pieces!! More pics to come!

Contractions Starting!

So its about 10pm and I've been having irregular contractions since 4:40pm. The closest they have been is 3 minutes and the farthest they have been is 5 minutes. I don't know if anyone is wanting updates but if you do, here it is! Hopefully the ball continues to roll!

Family Baby Shower at the Cabin

My adorable family threw a shower for me at the cabin!

They are making a quilt for us where everyone decorates a square...Steele copied mine and then added a bit, stinker, haha. 

Baby K Still Cookin!

I am going to the doctor tomorrow and he will probably strip the membranes. We will schedule to be induced on Saturday morning unless the baby decides to come before then! I'm feeling good, a few cramps here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. We are just anxiously awaiting our lil man to come!!!!

So our baby is due in 2 days!! Woot woot! We will keep you updated via the blog on how he is doing.

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he said that I am 70% effaced but not dilating at all. I will go to the doctor again next week and if the baby hasn't come yet then we will schedule to be induced, no later than a week after the due date.

We are at the cabin right now because it is so much cooler than the city and I'm a lot more comfortable up here. 

Thank you for all your prayers on our behalf, keep 'em comin because we can definitely feel them!

Cabin Time

Every summer my family goes to our family cabin. This year we have celebrated my moms bday and my grandparents 50th anniversary. Its been super fun and relaxing. Luckily nothing too dramatic has happened with the baby and he is still cookin!

 This is about as far as I've gotten to the river this year, normally I am swimming, tubing, fishing, etc. Its still been fun though!

 We made pies for my grandparents 50th...apple and cherry. The cherry pie is my aunt's recipe that she got 1st in the state fair with, it was tasty!

So I do photography, although I'm terrible at starting an actual photography blog. I just bought a new camera and was super excited to play with it, so these are some of the pics I took around the Salt Lake Temple. 

BYU Graduate Baby!!

My kindergarten name plate had  'BYU' written on it, needless to say this was a very exciting day! When Steele and I got married I wasn't sure how or when I'd finish, but through the Lord's timing it all worked out! I was 6 months preggers when I walked (back in April).

 The family came out for graduation. I still took classes during the spring to finish up a few credits so I'll have an August 2012 graduation.

 Afterward we had a family picnic at the park. We played boccee ball, had a BYU Rice Krispy treat cake, and hung out. Later on we walked down to JDawgs and then walked to see comedy sports.

 Yay for graduating!! Thank you to all my family for helping me and a special shout out for Steele for his patience and help all along!

Yep...We finally have a blog!

So seeing that our baby is due in ONE WEEK....we thought it'd be appropriate to start a blog! We have meant to since we got married but I finally am taking the dive and am officially entering the blogging world. It seems like a motherly duty, a coming of age in the sense of being a parent. Therefore, we hope you enjoy a few tidbits of our life and our exciting addition to our family!!!
